At ENS we are well-versed in the challenges of working in busy, live, school environments and our recent project at Stantonbury was no exception. This project required us to provide scaffolding access in the middle of a school day, with the added complexity of ensuring minimal disruption to both staff and students. The Exact team was tasked with providing a free-standing birdcage scaffold with Haki stair access. The purpose of this scaffold was to facilitate the installation of fire protection in the roof space of the school’s sports hall. This work was crucial for meeting safety standards and ensuring the ongoing protection of the building.
Live School Environment: With students and staff present during school hours, careful planning was essential. We made sure that the scaffolding was erected with minimal disruption, ensuring both safety and efficiency.
Free-standing Birdcage Scaffold: To provide full access to the roof space without compromising the structure, we opted for a free-standing birdcage scaffold, which offers a stable and secure platform for work at height.
Haki Stair Access: To ensure easy and safe access for the workers, we incorporated Haki stair access into the scaffold system. This helped maintain a smooth workflow and contributed to the overall safety of the installation.
With the scaffold securely in place, the installation of fire protection in the roof space was carried out efficiently. The project was completed on time and to the highest safety standards, with no disruption to the daily activities of the school.
At Exact Nationwide Scaffolding, we pride ourselves on our ability to handle complex projects in sensitive environments. Our team’s expertise and commitment to safety allowed us to successfully complete this project, ensuring the continued safety of the school.
